What is an HttpOnly Cookie?

Client-side scripts cannot access data when a browser cookie has the tag “HttpOnly Cookie” applied to it. It offers a fence that stops anyone other than the server from accessing the specialized cookie. The possibility of client-side scripts accessing a protected cookie is reduced by using the HttpOnly tag when creating cookies, making these cookies safer.
